European Association of Employer Branding Agencies officially founded in Budapest

European Association of Employer Branding Agencies (EAEBA) celebrated its official establishment on January 28 in the company of corporate leaders and diplomatic representatives in Budapest.

Given the current labour market challenges all companies are exploring their options to optimize the process of attracting, engaging and retaining talent. To stay ahead of the game more and more organizations are recognizing the importance of building a strong employer brand, which aims to improve employee experience and pave the journey to become a better employer. This is what employer branding is about.

To stay ahead of the game more and more organizations are recognizing the importance of building a strong employer brand, which aims to improve employee experience and pave the journey to become a better employer. This is what employer branding is about.

It isn’t the first time that Hungary hosts and an international event with top employer branding leaders attending. In 2017 Budapest was home to World Employer Branding Day, the largest gathering of leaders in employer branding in the one place at the same time. Senior leaders from many of the world’s leading companies attended including Facebook, Tommy Hilfiger, Swarovski, KPMG.

Attendees of the EAEBA foundation event joined from several countries. Johan Driessens, the Emerging Employer Brand Leader of the Year 2018 (CEO, branded. careers, Belgium) was one of the founding members that gave a welcome speech at the event. Other founding members present were:

  • Oliver Burauen, Managing Director, Grapevine, Germany
  • Emiliano Novelli, CEO & Founder, Idea Link, Italy
  • Henrika Bivainiene, General Manager, Amston, Lithuania
  • Andrey Aliasov, Changellenge, Russia
Among the attendees were representatives of the Hungarian embassies of the founding countries.

The event ended with a reception and a cruise on the river Danube.
